The Watchtower and the Pyramids LINK
Lady Queenborough's book occult theocracy on pg.737 records C.T. Russell's Masonic membership (published in 1933). While this book seems to be the only evidence of his membership the insignia and words used are undeniable. The use of the terms 'society' and 'brotherhood' are used today among the witnesses which show Masonic terminology was carried over from Russell.
Through Russell the Watchtower called the pyramid God's Stone Witness and Prophet. ( Thy kingdom Come 1891 and 1905 ed. p.17) They claimed: "Its wonderful correspondencies with the Bible leave no room for doubt that the same divine inspirer of the prophets and apostles inspired this 'Witness' also." (ibid p.362)
1897 "...this measurement is 3416 inches, symbolizing 3416 years.... This calculation shows A.D. 1874 as marking the beginning of the period of trouble...." (Russell, Studies in the Scriptures: Thy Kingdom Come, Series III, p. 342, 1897 edition [1916 edition changed to read: "We find it to be 3457 inches, symbolizing 3457 years.... Thus the Pyramid witnesses that the close of 1914 will be the beginning of the time of trouble...."]This was calculated as 1915 in (Studies Vol.3 1913 ed. P.342) note: the measurement was the length of an interior passageway discovered inside the Pyramids. It has no reference in Scripture.)
Chapter title; "The testimony of God’s stone Witness and prophet, the great pyramid in Egypt." (Studies Vol.3 1903 ed. P.313)
At this same time we find the Society involved in astrology as well as pyramidology, all considered the occult. "When Uranus and Jupiter meet in the humane sign of Aquarius in 1914, the long-promised era will have made a fair start in the work of setting man free to work out his own salvation, and will insure the ultimate realization of dreams and ideals of all poets and sages in history." (Watchtower, May 1, 1903, pp. 130-131; p.3184 Reprints)
"…this date,1910, indicated by the pyramid…we may accept as correct the testimony of the great pyramid, that the last members of the body or bride’ of Christ will have been tested and accepted and will have passed beyond the vail before the close of AD 1910." (Studies Vol.3 early ed. P.364)
"In the passages of the great pyramid of Gizeh the agreement of one or two measurements with present truth chronology might be accidental, but the correspondency of dozens of measurements proves the same God designed both pyramid and plan…" (WatchTower 6/15/1922 p.187)
"The great pyramid of Egypt, standing as a silent and inanimate witness of the Lord, is a messenger; and its testimony speaks with great eloquence concerning the divine plan." (WT 5/15/1925 p.148)
Almost unanimously all of Russell's dates were taken from his studies on the pyramid (1878,1881,1910,1914,1915,1918). Is it any wonder they got the dates wrong. Yet they wrote it was God's dates not ours.
Based on Watchtower claims, the Great Pyramid was near and dear to the hearts of Jehovah’s Witnesses. They relied on it to learn of God's plans just as they would the bible. Imagine their shock when in the late 1920's the Watchtower published articles condemning those who believed this pyramid was inspired by God. In 1930, they said, "let no one today add to his prophecy by saying that a pile of stone in the land of Egypt constitutes God's witness." (Light book, p.286 1930)
The Watchtower lashed out at those who had fallen for the teaching of the Great Pyramid. Did they admit responsibility from their founder for deceiving Jehovah's Witnesses over the years, adding to God's prophetic word? No, just like they have done for the other prophecies they instead blamed the Witnesses themselves for believing this false doctrine! For instance the Society declared," … they have not discerned the distinction between the Devil's organization and God's organization…"and accused such Jehovah's Witnesses of "not following after Christ."(WT Nov.15 p.340 1928) They also said, 'If the pyramid is not mentioned in the Bible, then following its teachings is being led by vain philosophy and false science and not following after Christ.") (ibid p.341) "Those who have devoted themselves to the pyramid… the mind of such were turned away from Jehovah and his word." (WT 11/15/1928 p.344) In this we would agree with them.
What was accepted under their founder they were now distancing themselves. Take for example the Cross and Crown logo which had been provided through Russell, later was abandoned since it was"...to Brother Rutherford's mind Babylonish and should be discontinued." He wrote they are, "...not only unnecessary but objectionable, "(1975 Yearbook, p. 148).
They also claimed that the pyramid is Satan's Bible, and not 'God's Stone witness." "Then Satan put his knowledge into dead stone, which may be called Satan's Bible, not Gods stone witness…" (WT, 11/15/1928 p.344)
"It is more reasonable to conclude that the great pyramid of gizeh, as well as the other pyramids…were built…under the direction of Satan the devil." (WT, 11/15/1928 p.344). Does this mean the dates that Russell was calculating for the end of the world were satanically inspired? Does this make the founder of the Organization a pagan?

Jehovah’s Witnesses have several doctrines in common with those
received directly from the demons by Johannes Greber, as itemized in his book “Communication with the Spirit World of God” (CSW). Johannes Greber did not like any of the existing translations of the Bible and stated “…I have used the [new bible text] text as it was given to me by those spirits” (The New Testament by Johannes Greber p. 15).
Watchtower sources are shown as well Communication with the Spirit World below:
We have to ask—why do Jehovah’s Witnesses have so many doctrines in common with the doctrines of these demonic spirits? Why also did Russell expend so much time and energy railing against the demons, while at the same time using their doctrines? Modern Jehovah’s Witnesses may not realize that demonic manifestations among Watchtower members were quite common during this time. We quote “Zion’s Watch Tower “ of October 1st, 1907, “Our understanding is that this great day of the Lord began chronologically in October 1874, and from what we can learn it is since that date that ‘materializations’ have become more and more common…the evidence is too strong to be disputed that there have been numerous genuine manifestations….”
Why have the Jehovah’s Witnesses deliberately covered over these false dates and also deliberately altered their bible, and then claimed it is accurate, when all evidence is to the contrary? Why also have members overlooked the obvious errors so many times? It can only be that they are under a spirit of deception...
i would like to know if ex's and formers who are not church christians, believe that many of jws' doctrines and bible interpretations are correct, or do you feel that they aren't?
.
Watchtower is run by madmen who believe they are in charge of every man, woman and child on earth and that only by reading and studying their literature can you be made perfect. Jesus simply said that you must be born again.
forgive the insensitivity of this but does the wt imagine the "resurrected" bodies of the dead will have useless genitalia?
or will the humans 2.0 have the smooth appearance of a ken doll or the nipple-less breasts of a barbie.
any breasts at all?
@NotFormer,
I think that you have it right as to what the WT teaches regarding the Millenial Reign of Christ. They use the term New System instead so that they can paint a picture with Jehovah ruling instead of Christ. I would disagree about its vaguenesss though, it all seemed pretty clear to me when I was growing up in it.
In their alternate story people are resurrected to earth here and are eventually perfected by studying Watchtower literature. Only church leaders (144K) are supernaturally changed and are declared righteous (Justified). In their deluded view, the rest of JW's and manking must perfect themselves through diligent study and willpower.

I was under the impression that those who survive the big A will be spending the Millennium preparing the earth for the resurrection of pretty well everyone who died in Armageddon.
@NotFormer - The WT gave us a lot of impressions. Were you aware that no where in the bible does it teach that people will be resurrected on earth? There is only the resurrection of life and the resurrection of damnation. This corresponds to the resurrection of the righteous and the unrighteous.
The 2nd chance salvation that Russell taught is a heresy and is not Christian.
While the idea of a second chance for salvation is appealing, the Bible is clear that death is the end of all chances. Hebrews 9:27 tells us that we die, and then later face judgment. So, as long as a person is alive, he has a second, third, fourth, fifth, etc. chance to accept Christ and be saved. Once a person dies, there are no more chances.
this young jw lady was shunned by her parents since she was 18 or 19 years old.
she was befriended by the older man that you see in the picture.
perhaps you recognize him?
These are Sarah Kellen's JW parents. They look like carbon copies of my parents. In an interview, they said:
They said they knew nothing about Kellen's work with Epstein because they became estranged from her around the time she took the job, aged 18 or 19
‘She is our prodigal daughter, it doesn’t mean we don’t love her.’
‘I think Sarah was susceptible to that because of her age and her personality. She was estranged from her family, she didn’t know what to do or where to turn.’
Thomas and Mary say they would gladly welcome their daughter back into the fold tomorrow but she would need to re-enter their church and demonstrate a genuine commitment to their faith.
Q. Why didn't Jesus require people join his church before he showed love to them?

Well said, but won’t change 1 person
I don't know. I'd like to think it would. Most JW's are just going along with what the elders (GB in reality) tell them to do. With a little bit of thought, it is easy to see what drives JW kids off the deep end. I think parents can eventually be reached.

This young JW lady was shunned by her parents since she was 18 or 19 years old. She was befriended by the older man that you see in the picture. Perhaps you recognize him? They did a lot of things together while her parents shunned her. After more than 25 years, they still do.
In case you are wondering what is wrong with your teenager; JW kids act out in harmful ways because:
1. They see the WT history of false prophecies and unlike you, cannot live a lie.
2. They experience the robotic, automoton nature that many JW's are known for and crave basic human affection and love which is missing in many JW families.
3. Some kids are naturally imagnitive, impressionable and suffer psychologically from all the blood, gore and armageddon images that you forced them to digest in their early years and just want a break from all the panic & negativity.
4. They want to stop feeling guilty for participating in basic social activities that YOU shamed and prevented them from doing, which made them freaks among their peers and objects of derision. All your made up rules which ARE NOT IN THE BIBLE, only convinced them of your insanity and manipulation, which you unknowingly or not seek to pass on. Your kids want and need YOU, not your impossible unbiblical rules.
Please wake up. We know that you love your children. Do not let a group of jackass mad-men rob your children of one of the greatest assets that they have - you, their parents.
